i have one but my mom wants me to delete it but i don't want to because i think my profile has no information about me.

Myspace is one of those things. Some people are for it and some people are against it. There have been many reports where teens have been contacted by people acting as other teens trying to meet them. In one incident a girl flew half way around the world to meet someone. As long as you know not to put your full name and where you live it should be ok. Don't talk to random people. A lot of times people aren't who they say they are. It's easy to lie through computers. And posting pictures of yourself is not always a good idea. I understand your mom's point of view. My mother was like that also. I do currently have a myspace and I keep myself safe by not putting any kind of personal information. I don't even have what school I attended. So just play things safe. Be smart about what you put.

I am one of those bummer mom's too. It is good that you had no personal information and neither did my son. The problem I had was the information his friends and their friends had on their pages. One of the worst examples was a friend of MINE that he added. I am sure it will be the end of the world to you if your mom has you delete it but give it some time and try later. We can only shelter you for so long, try and understand that is our jobs. During such a time you can spend time with your friends and do somethings we old folk did back in the dark ages like talk on the phone and hang out in person!! Would you believe our phones were attached by a chord to the wall and you had to actually turn the dial and the only home computer I ever saw was in the Carousel of Progress at Disney World!! lol.

I had a profile too but I deleted it because i was scared of all of the things that happen on this website. I think that there is always some part of a website that can get a little dangerous. Just be careful about what you say there. I have been invited into groups by weird people asking for weird things. Delete it.

Are all of your friends your actual friends? If not, you run the risk of them cracking into your account and sending messages and screwing with your page. Also, if you talk to them they can get information from you too.

Make it friends only, that way only your friends can see your info.
