You don't have time to give them much notice so you just do what you have to do. Once you move on you'll soon forget about it. Just explain how bad you feel about it, then its up to them to either understand or not. You shouldn't feel bad for bettering yourself or your situation

I had a similar situation happen to me a few months back. I had worked at a place for eight months and then left for another job. Four months later I went back to the first place. During this time I was going to college. Once I graduated I was immediately offered a legal job and I hadn't been back at my employment but for two months. The attorney wanted me to start right away. I told my employer on Thursday that Sunday would be my last day. He was very understanding since I took the time to explain the situation to him.
A lot of employers are very understanding when you find new employment. Just whatever you do, do not just stop showing up. A couple days notice is better than none at all.

Because you are a working through a temp agency, the usual two-week notice isn't expected. They know (or should know) that you can leave at any time. Let the lab know that Friday is your last day, and don't feel bad about it. Don't burn any bridges either! Good luck with the new job!

Because looking for a job while you are employed is not cheating and you job doesn't have feelings. Another thing, you NEED a job to support yourself. You don't need a relationship. Actually sometimes it's best to be alone between relationships.

All you can do is give your two weeks notice. That's what companies require even if they want you to leave before that time. It will show on your record you gave your two weeks. If you have some other place you're going to work for; I wouldn't worry about what anyone says or how they feel. It's your paycheck and future; not theirs.

ah. quitting without saying goodbye (formally) sucks.
this will ruin your image, not only on that company but also on the next company you're going to apply.
usually, when you are being interviewed, it's included in the questions the, "why did you quit on your previous job?"
how would you answer that question now?
the thing is, you commited on your next job too soon so now you're cramming.
hence, quit still. there's no harm in quitting. they can't change your decision anyway. have your resignation letter and state your reasons to your high officials personally.
this will make your decision professional.^_^

You said you were working temp, so obviously they have no expectations of you being around. Tell them Friday's your last day.

If you choose to, do it respectfully. And find another job first. But yaaa...it's not like youre leaving the country, you'll still see them around. So don't do anything you'll regret.

If you've found another job, just drag up. "Hey, btw...I'm quitting..." as you hit the door.If you've "never gotten any help from them", you owe them nothing.
