Is there a way to open and use yahoo messenger without installing it on your hard drive... perhaps by cd-rom?

You can't actually use yahoo messenger without installing it but i find that http://www.ebuddy.com/ works good enough. It's no where near as good as the original messenger but you dont have to install anything. Hope this helps..

No, Messenger must be installed in order to use it.
