In case of disaster

Computer failure, floods, fires and of course viruses can occur at any time and cause a complete or partial loss of data on the server/computers.

Backups are prevention against total loss. Just imagine if you worked on something for a week and then came into school and all your files were just gone. It happens to people all over the world, all the time.

There are many reasons, some of which have been said above. I would add one more and in one word. MYSPACE. If myspace is being accessed by using a proxy, they will know, and block the way it was accessed very soon.

Incase there's a fire etc and all work is lost... Thats what they do at work anyways.
