i am an intermediate linux user , and been having problems with my internet connection on my laptop .

I am running suse 10 , and it takes forever to load a web page , i am using a wireless connection , with 128bit encryption .

i already have it on a static ip address , and I use gnome . it seems to be a really slow DNS lookup , it takes ages resolving the name ( well thats what it says in the bottom of my browser ) .

all the same if I try nslookup from the command prompt it returns a value instantly .

It is the same with various different browsers , i will try using lower encryption and see if that fixes .
