You may have a simple sensor failure. Car may have a "limp in" mode feature which is triggered by sensors tied to the transmission and computer or it could be just locked in a gear either way get to a shop that deals with that brand.

It won't last long.
You should stop driving it now and have it repaired.
It would be much cheaper to have the transmission repaired now than replacing the engine and transmission later.
