How is Britain rife with imigrants?
Why won't Tony Blair clamp down on this?
Help me understand this a bit better.

We don't get them all, the rest of the developed world is having the same problem, look at the riots in Paris last year. Italy has a big problem with North African countries and the US are concerned about the amount of Mexicans entering their country. It's a global migration of people looking for a better life than is available in their own country.
I'm not trying to defend the government here, I think they should be doing far more to stop the illegals coming in, but it really is not just a British problem.

We don't get all the immigrants. Nearly every country gets immigrants. Some of them get British immigrants.

The original inhabitants of these islands were the people who built Stonehenge. They disappeared about 10,000 years ago when the Celts (the ancient Britons) arrived. Since then just about everyone has come to these shores and we're all immigrants or descended from them.

Tony Blair won't do anything about it because he'd have to send himself back to Edinburgh.

Oh for gods sake they're not immigrants they are people, just like us. THey have feelings and I'm surprised that they even want to live in this country after the way they are treated.
If you lived in a crappy country and got paid 5 pounds a week and had the opportunity to go to a better country and do the same job for 300 pounds a week then you would obviously.
What we need to sdo is all work together as a planet to make each country a nice and safe place to live and not segregate ourselves and pretend not to see when people get bombed, work 12 hour shifts and still not have enough money to feed their children, and die because their country does not offer sufficient medical care.

I asked a similar question recently and someone said the majority of immigrants are from ex british colonies so they have more than paid their dues to the UK.

I do think we need to be tougher on who we let in and stay as it seems to be those who enter legally are penalised and those who enter illegally are allowed to stay to avoid paper work.

We don't get them all. We only get the destitute.

These help to increase the types who are most likely to vote for the Labour Party.

The Labour Party has a vested interest in keeping people poor because their core vote comes from that source. That is one of the reasons why they operate a high tax economy.

Firstly, it is not only the British that 'get' all the immigrants. There are many countries around the world who are open to immigration.

When did we all become so selfish? How is it we came upon this sense of ownership when it comes to countries? We all live on this planet...just in different parts of it. What gives anyone the right to close the borders and say "You can't live here!"

You get all the imigrants?! What about all the hispanics and asians we (the U.S.) gets??? Nobody wants to clamp down because their cheap labor. Also, especially in Europe, populations are in decline. People are having fewer babies. So what do you do? Import them!

The west, and the UK in particular, take a tiny proportion of the worlds refugees.
Many go to neighbouring countries.
If we were to take our 'fair share' by population you would see a marked increase
If we were to take our 'fair share' by maens of support ifinancially, in infrastructure; you'd see tens of thousands more than at present.

The UK does not take many, it is just the press and the politics making you think that way

We don't. The Germans have taken way more. Also the Native Americans, Native Africans and Native Australians have taken in quite a few. Global view required.

If you start from a position of knowing nothing...why do you frame your question as if you do?

How about you go to a library and ask someone there to explain to you how to research something without a prejudiced starting point. My ten year old son understands this...it can't be that hard.
