I have degrees in economics and management, but no I.T. certifications or relevant education (yet). As a result, I'd like to improve my chances of getting hired by going to a place with a lot of entry-level IT opportunities. What cities would be best?

Washington DC area is always employment friendly, especially in technology. If you are able to pass a security clearance, you will be a hot commodity.

Los Angeles, New York, but honestly, with no certifications or relevant ed. you wil get nothing but data entry anywhere. I know people with four year degrees that are doing data entry because it's a hard field to get into unless you know somebody or something special.
