dampen it then scrub it gently with a dishtowel and some mild soap. Use as little water as possible, then let hang dry.

I would suggest using a mild detergent (ie Fairy for delicates) and placing the teddy into a pillow case (dont 4get to tie a knot in the case first) and use a low spin It will come up smelling clean and fresh and looking like new.
Good Luck x

put him on a delicate wash in the machine, should be fine.
I had a really old teddy and my mum put him in the washing machine and drier when I was young. I was traumatised at the time and sat next to the machine until he was clean and dry but then he looked and smelt so much better I got over it!!

Wash separately in a gentle cycle in the washer. I would fluff dry or at least on low as some 'fur' tends to get too hot and fried looking. You can secure it in a pillow case to help it be a little more gentle of a ride!

If it will take it pop it on a wool/delicate wash in the washing Machine.

If not you could try a Damp Sponge and a little elbow grease. If you want to rid it of germ,s or Odors you could steam it.

I pretreat then wash with 1 or 2 towels in cold water with detergent. Ring water out twice and then take him out, fluff him up and put in the sun to dry. After 4 kids and 8 grandkids haven't lost one yet!

If it's not too big put it in a pillow case and tie the top - try putting it on a cooler wash first say 30 degrees

I put teddy's in the washer, but not in the dryer as the stuffing goes lumpy, sit them on a radiator to dry.

shove it in the wash but on its own and not on a boil wash! you can then tumble dry it later, or if you are worried about doing this just use a mild detergent and sponge clean it with warm water!
