It was a high performance 4-door sedan & I think it was originally an Italian concept, but was purchased by one of the big 3... maybe Chrysler. It was being transported to a show in a truck & the truck was involved in an accident & the car was totaled.

Chrysler commissioned the Italian coachbuilder, Ghia, to produce an overhang-roof concept car in 1956, but the car was lost in shipping when it sank aboard the Andrea Doria and was never recovered.

The Bugatti Veryon. Owned by Volkswagen.

The early models were too fast and they lost quite a few during testing. That was 'the one' known for being completely unstable at the high speeds it produced.

Now finished and released to the public, a much more stable model.
