I don't think the left wants the US to fail. I think they want a better
country to live in as well as their foreign affairs are handled better. It is good to have opposition whether its left or right to challenge the government that is in power to make sure that
they are running the country in a democratic way.

Because they can use any failure of the capitalist system to try to convince the people that we ought to let THEM have the power. That has been going on for centuries. Look at the French revolution and how the mad leftist narcissistic revolutionaries like Robespierre got people to behead each other. And all that by blaming the rich for their problems. When all was said and done the masses were still just a poor but a lot of people had lost their head.

I am pretty sure what you meant to say is:

Why doesn't the Right want to actually define success? Why doesn't the Right understand that there are areas of grey - that Success and Failure are not the only two choices here? Why must everything be so black and white?
Maybe if everyone can find some middle ground somewhere, we can work out our problems domestically and internationally.
