alright, i had my period two days after i had sex with my boyfriend ( we of course used a condom) ( the period was early and the normal 7 days) the next week i went and had my first ever depo provera injection. Now i missed a period, but i did have one day (near the time my period was supposed to come) of light spotting. I havent gained any weight and i was wondering if i am jus reacting to the shot or if i could be pregnant? i am 100% that the condom didnt tear or break, so am i overeacting??please help!

You could get a pregnancy test to be sure, but one of depo's common side effects is to pretty much stop your periods (some people get nothing at all, some people have a lighter or shorter period, some people get a little spotting and that's it). It's really nice not having a period (I get REALLY bad cramps that keep me home from work sick), but you don't have that way to tell if you might be pregnant anymore, so you HAVE to test if you think there's ANY chance.

But in this case, you said you had your period after having sex, so it's very unlikely that you are pregnant.

Depo does some crazy things to your system. I only took one shot and for about 4 months I had 2 week long periods and 3 weeks apart. then after the four months I didn't get my period for about 6 and did not go back to normal cycles for about 20 months after the one and only shot I got. I had pregnancy symptoms the whole time too. I think that with you it's just the depo since it affects every woman differently.

It's most likely just the shot. If you are on depo and using condoms, your fine. When I was on Depo, my periods stopped completely. It's normal and happens to most women. I'm actually going to go back on depo this week so that I don't have to worry about my periods anymore for a while.

It's just the shot. With depo one of the "side effects" is no periods. Take a pregnacy test in a month just to be sure.

Its the depo. The only consistent side effect is to halt menstruation. Its freaky, I know, I've been there. Depo kinda makes you feel pregnant. You're fine.
