Everyone is saying how your gonna get raped, or whatever, but if you can take care of yourself, what's so wrong with it? People are gonna get hurt either way...That's just the kind of world we live in.

I don't see anything wrong with it if you keep your profile private and don't put anything personal on there. And also, don't accept friend requests from people you don't know. But myspace is not bad, you have a better chance getting raped out there in the real world.

People use MySpace as a scapegoat. It's no different from any other online networking site. The problem is with younger kids who don't know how to take care of themselves. They put personal information on their profiles and are targeted by pedophiles. If said childrens parents would just teach them how to be internet smart rather than just trying to ban them from MySpace, we'd have much fewer problems. Besides, any parent should know that banning something from their kids is a great way to make them want to do it even more.

i have a myspace and i dont c anything wrong with it. ive had it 4 a while 2. if u make sure that u set it up with all the privacy settings the way u need it u should b fine.

There is nothing wrong about myspace.If they think myspace is so bad then maybe they shouldn't put any real info. It's safe you just need to know how to update your profile.

MySpace is not bad, not anything wrong with it because I know everybody on my friend list for real life and I got over 100 people on there but just don't add nobody that you don't know for real life!

internet weirdness is certainly not limited to myspace.....it has just become the scapegoat. But there is some truth to being safe online and in life after all you are right that is the world we live in

Well I guess if you have one that isn't private people can track you down if you're foolish enough, but I don't know too many foolish people. I guess the way they do it is they get to "know you" , then they ask where you live or whatever thinking you'll trust them. But not everyone is like that anymore.
