I have a cd and want to copy that information in the cd to a dvd-rw. will a cd burner be able to do that, if so, how?

I would say that you can't do that with a CD burner...try buying a DVD burner since a DVD burner is capable of both CD's and DVD's......

Only if the CD burner is a combination drive capable of burning DVD as well.

No, a CD Burner will NOT burn a dvd. If you would like to burn to a DVD you need to purchase yourself a dvd burner.

Unless your drive is actually a CD/DVD burner then you cannot burn a DVD with a CD burner.

NO a CD burner an't burn on a DVD disk of any format.

To write to a DVD, you need a DVD Burner and also writeable DVDs.
