I'd have to say Empathy, as all those other skills tend to derive from that one core element of humanity.

Empathy can overcome language barriers through the actions it causes, and it empowers one with will-power and patience through the connections it causes.

Open-mindedes is FORCED through the ability to truly, truly become empathetic with another human being rather than forcing your own perceptions/ideals/wishes upon them.

hmm do I have to only answer one?

Well the two that stick out are Empathy and Will Power. Yet in my life experience I have seen people demonstrate will power much more often then Empathy.

Empathy to me needs to be mastered. However, I do believe that some will be able to empathsize more because how they are wired. Empathy is ultimate concern for your neighbor. To put yourself in someone's shoes. This will increase good communication, help you ahvewill power when you are tempted to harm someone, it will defientely increase your patience with those who are not in the same situation as you, it will open your mind to their worldview.

Not to mention it may assist you with your own personal self-respect ans self-esteem. And may encourage you to learn a second language in order that you can empathsize with those who does not speak your native language.

The only one I consider an actual "Skill" would be second language. All the others deal with emotional, not learned, items. Yes you can learn to have patience and will power, etc., but everything except Second Language I do not considered "learned", I consider them to be more a product or by-product of our upbringing and/or environment.

Will power without a doubt is the most benefical of the skills, yet most people lack empathy. Plenty of aggressive, selfish, pushy people in this world with strong will power yet they lack feelings for anyone but themselves. They did empathy.

Empathy. If more people actually thought about how their actions affected others, I think this world would be a much nicer place to live.

I'd say being open-minded because a lot of people are SO JUDGEMENTAL, and put labels on other people when they don't know them.
