This morning whilst eating my cereal I picked up my phone because I had a message and it slipped out of my hand into my cereal! I quickly dried it and to test that it was still working I sent a message to a friend. All was fine, except for now I just received a phone call from a friend and they couldn't hear me so they rang my home phone and told me my voice sounded all muffled!! I guess this probably due to dropping it in the milk this morning. Anyway my question is does anyone know how I can the front cover off my phone (sony ericsson W810i) so I can dry it out. I have opened the back and it all seems ok there.
Or can someone tell me where the speaker bit is?
Or can someone give me a suggestion on how I can fix this problem myself?

Hey, I don't think you can get the front cover off yourself.....unless you have those tiny screwdrivers....I have this phone and I think you have to unscrew it from the back.
But I would leave it near a radiator, don't put it directly on top of it, just near it and it should soon dry out and be good as new.

Take the battery out, use a semi-wet bounty to clean up the milk, do it gently. Then use a blow dryer to dry it for 1 minute, do 10 times (so you don't overheat both the blow dryer and the cellphone).
I hope you didn't put sugar in your cereal otherwise it'll be a problem.

take the battery n the sim card out and let it dry for the rest of the day dont put it back togethere. i dropped my phone in the toliet and thats what i did n its good as new.

since it is SE w810 you still have the guarantee. go to the shop you bought the mobile and say that your microphone is broken(don't mention the little accident with your breakfast). they will quickly fix it

if u have it insured tell them it fell out of your pocket and in to the toilet then u get new phone works every time

leave it on a radiator for a while and if this dosent work remove the sim card and keep it for your new phone mine fell in a toilet and the sim card survived

give it time to dry , remove the battery , it should be ok
