I don't think foreigners (in general and from the perspective of Americans), all want to come to the US, but certainly many people want the prosperity we enjoy in the US.
Contrary to what many outside the US think, we aren't all obese nor do all of us drink "64 oz big gulps".
I think it's just a matter of wanting the economic prosperity and military superiority we enjoy.
As to why they talk trash, because it's easier to criticize than it is to achieve. Why don't they just beat us at our own game? Because in many cases they can't, and never will.
That's just the way it is, and I really don't mean to start any flame wars.

I'm from England and I don't want to come to America for all the 64oz Big Gulps and boxes of Krispy Kreme in the world. I split my time between England and Russia and am yet to meet anyone from either country who wants to live in America.

various reasons I imagine.....sometimes it's easier to knock something and pretend you don't want it if you think you could never have it anyway and sometimes it might be genuine disagreement with American ways.
