You know that is a lot of questions! I'll try to answer most of them.

We have ice in our drinks, and if you ask for ice in your water then you will get it.

We eat normal food, everything you eat, but the portion size is alot smaller. Everything from hamburgers to pasta to Chinese to Indian food. There is every type of cuisine in London, so you can get what you want.

At the end of March the weather will still be cold but not freezing, you will probably need a coat and scarf, and an umbrella because it will be raining as it is the rain month in April.

The time difference between Florida (i think that's FLA) London is around 5 hours, you wont get too much jet lag coming but travelling west back to the states will be worse.

Some of the best restaurants are ones that you just come across walking around London. But try Wagamama (its like Chinese) and Ping Pong (dim sum).
But real quality restaurants if you want a treat are The Ivy and Langhams. They are really nice. But really you just have to discover your own.

The best shopping is Oxford Street and Bond Street here are all the high street shops and where the best shopping is. You can go to Covent Garden and Camden as well for good shopping and there are some good restaurants there.

There isnt much in Trafalgar square just the fountains but it is near Buckingham Palace if you want to visit that, so i suppose its worth a visit.

Stonehenge isnt in London so cant help you on that one!

Dont know any thing about a medieval dinner sorry.

Do you mean the globe theatre? Thats worth a visit. Get more info from the website.

Just enjoy London its such a good city with so much to discover and see, once you get here you wont be bored trust me!!

We do put ice in water. You can get it either way in restaurants - just tell the waiter you want ice

We eat all kinds of food. You will find KFCs, Burger Kings, MacDonalds, Starbucks etc and also Italian, French, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Indian etc restaurants. Just about anything you like or could imagine will be available

The weather at the end of March (and for the rest of the year) is cloudy, rainy, windy and chilly

I think it's six hours

Most of the expensive ones are good. As I say, you'll recognise a lot of the chains anyway

Lots of places for shopping - Oxford Street has loads of big department stores. Harrods s one of the biggest stores in the world

Trafalgar Square is a big square with a column in the middle.

Stonehenge is a couple of hundred miles from London, worht seeing if you have the time

Not sure about the mediaeval dinner, but I'm sure you can find one if you want

The Globe Theatre has been rebuilt and there are other tings to see on the South Bank too

There lots more to London. It's all very accesible and you'll find it when you come

Hope you have a great time!

I stayed at a hotel in the arab quarter. Not expensive, but very small room. At least it was clean. Only weird surprise I had was flushing the toilet - you had to pump it, not just press the lever for it to flush.

Food is pretty much the same as North America, there are a few local meals that are native to United Kingdom, but when I was there, they still had the McDonalds and Pizza Hut that had the same menus as here. I also had a good steak in a local restaurant, a nice Greek meal, and the best fish&chips I have eaten anywhere so far.

Weather is pretty much like Seattle - wet and cloudy much of the time, some sunny days, and cool but not usually cold (spring weather conditions).

London is five hours ahead of Miami (4PM here means 9PM in London).

Lots of shopping available in London. You can also get on the classic double-decker red bus and take the city tour. They give you headphones and let you listen to interesting info about the city as they drive you around town. You can get off the bus, do some shopping or see part of the town, then wait for the next red bus to show up and get back on to continue the tour.

I did not go to Stonehenge - that is not in London but out in the countryside. I did go to the London Zoo, outside Buckingham Palace, and to the Sherlock Holmes museum.

I did not go to Madame Tussaud's wax museum or the Tower of London because the line-ups were around the block. There is also another museum of horror that I did not get a chance to go to.

Shopping can be done just about anywhere, but there was a huge Virgin records superstore that I visited, as well as Harrod's. (both have websites if interested in more info)

There are also public taxis and private taxis available from the airport and around the city. The public taxis are the big black cabs that can hold a baseball team in one car and still has room for the equipment. These are very expensive (my ride from Heathrow to my hotel was something like $50 US.) whereas the private taxi firms charge you less than half that price.

You can also go check out speakers corner in Trafalgar Square, and the subway system. The subway entrance where I was located looked pretty seedy so I just walked everywhere or took a cab or the tour buses.

I went to London in March of my senior year 6 years ago. I loved it!!! I've always said I wanted to go back but never have yet.

I didn't know why they didn't want to put ice in their drinks either but we would ask for more and they would do it. We brought our own condiments also because our teacher that took us said that they aren't condiment crazy like we are.

The weather was wet & windy. I brought a thin jacket and I was so cold because it seemed like it would mist rain all day, almost everyday. It was so windy that our umbrellas would just fly up and that really didn't help anything. It was beautiful when it wasn't raining though.

I do recommend going to the Globe Theatre and to Beefeater's. The Globe is so historic and Beefeater's was tons of fun. They let us get up and dance with them. Piccadilly Circus reminded me of Times Square, it had everything. So much so that I don't even remember everything I saw there...you will love it. We also went to Trafalgar Square and that was cool too. Fish & Chips are good everywhere but you can't go wrong with the good ole Pizza Huts, they just don't have as many toppings. Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood were way cool too. We actually met up with one of the waiters there at Hard Rock on our last night there because he was going to take us out. He did alright...he took us to the biggest gay nightclub in London. The club was called G.A.Y. hahaha We were down for a while but then we were over it and we left. It was a wild experience for 4 small-town girls.

I have gotten so excited just reliving all of those times that I am ready to go back again. I don't have to wish you any luck with it because I know you will have a great time.!

While in London have your hotel get you a taxi and take a sight seeing trip. As we understand it all of the taxi drivers must know the city and all of the sights. This might be 3-4 hours and cost $150+. Also if you have time I would go to Westminister and Bath. This would be in addition to the usual Tower of London and the like.
