I am an administrative assistant to the owner of a Real Estate firm. I do it for the money only. Seriously. I moved to a new town, and the job market here sucks. This is the first job I could find that paid more that $7 per hour. (I make $9.50) I moved here for my fiance who already had a stable career at the local radio station. So I guess you could say I do this job for my fiance.
Although we do hope to relocate a year or so after the wedding. ::fingers crossed::

Tech Support -
I do it because, when I started 3 years ago, it was just me and my Manager in the Tech support Department. We have since been bought out by a large corporation, I've almost doubled my salary, and we've grown to a team of 8. Although it's an hour drive from my home, I stay because I've got my foot in the door. I will soon be an assistant manager and I have nowhere to go but up!
Plus, I love what I do. We have the best team in the entire company and we get things done. It's a great feeling to know you're on a team that no one can say anything bad about.

Ime 63, in construction since i was 14, just love the work i do. Covered the lot, heavy civils, and general construction and some way over the top contracts . And no its not the money, nor the hours !!. Its the fun of walking past years later and saying I built that, remembering the faces of the guys who helped. The most rewarding industry to be in.

I work in an adolescent psychiatric unit as a health care assistant. I've wanted to work in mental health for a while, and I like working with adolescents (I'm not that far out of the teenage years myself) so through sheer coincidence (and luck) I've ended up combining the two. The job can be very stressful at times but it can also be unbelievably rewarding.

I'm 16. I do a paper round because no one else wants me. I guess I should apply to more places. I only want a part time job, as I'm in Sixth-Form.
I also enjoy doing a paper round, it's good exercise, I can wear what I want and I can listen to whatever music I choose, also I can choose when I do it, to a degree. Oh yeah and the money is useful too.

...I am a Prep Cook. I prepare gourment foods by: cleaning, cutting, mixing, arranging, counting, slicing, different types of produce, desserts, and meats. I do cook sometimes. I work in a professional kitchen--'boh' Back of the House. My supervisors are the Head Chef, then the Executive Chef, then the Sous Chef, Then the line cooks, then the prep cooks. I love my work, I have a passion for it. Brings me good feeling inside when work is done properly and our guests can dine well.

I help people sort out their debt problems. I do it cos Ive been there myself and know how bad it is when you have no-one to help you or be on your side. We dont charge them, so Im happy with it from an ethical point of view too. I especially like it when you get some snotty mortgage lender vowing to get the person evicted, and the judge sides with us and they keep their house.
