No, I am not promoting it or spamming.

I was approached not too long ago from some guy singing the praises of Quixtar. He was going on and on about how I could make money by shopping online yadda yadda yadda.

I found out later that Quixtar is a sister company of Amway. THAT was a red flag right there.

Not to mention that you have to cough up something like $165 up front or some figure like that.

But I was wondering if anyone here ever did Quixtar and make at least decent money? Or if you have a horror story about it, you can share it here also if you'd like.

Don't do it. My husband and I got suckered into trying it and it's nothing more than a pyramid scam in disguise. They got their money, and we never made anything from it. They put up a nice front to hook you, but it's all fake. Luckily, we found out about them in time and only lost about 75-80 dollars. Plus, their products aren't as good as they make them sound. You can go to a department store and find them cheaper.

As PR Manager for Quixtar, I wanted to respond to your inquiry about the Quixtar business. Yes, people make money with Quixtar (and with Amway around the world). More than a third of last year's $1.1 billion in sales went back to Independent Business Owners in the form of bonuses and other incentives. Also, IBOs earn retail markup on the products they sell to customers.

When you check out Quixtar's web site also check out This Biz Now, a site where we share testimonials of what people have achieved in this business.

Is it "Get Rich Quick?" Not usually. It's a lot of work and you need to apply yourself to the work over time to build a customer base and a sales organization to achieve the higher incomes.

You can get into Quixtar for a base price of about $50. When you work with a system, however, you probably will invest more in some of the training that system provides so you understand how to work your Quixtar business to achieve your financial goals.

There are horror stories, I'm sure, since there are hundreds of thousands of people in our business reflecting a true slice of America (and, through Amway, the world). For the most part, however, you will find hard-working, honest people striving to create a better life for themselves and their families. Many are doing just that.

Google "Quixtar" and "Dateline" and watch the report.

Personally, I have never seen anyone turn a profit. I have seen people sink upwards of $50,000 in to it and make very very little money......yet, they are convinced that they will be rich eventually. Actually, they are well on their way to bankruptcy.

You have a better chance at hitting a number playing roulette than you do making money with Quixtar.
