I hope that you have registered your iPod. Look at the info they sent you, it should answer this question for you. Easiest way is iTunes, each song costs 99cents. For free music try Bearshare or Mpfree

you need to install the CD that came with it on your PC first.
Then you can put the songs you already have on your Harddrive on your IPOD. just plug the usb cord into the PC from the IPOD . Your IPOD also will load and recharge while on the PC. Don't disconnect until it is charged in full , this will take a while

go to apple.com and click on iTunes,then somewhere on that page you will see download iTunes for free so download it to ur computer then the next time you hook up ypur ipod to ur computer iTunes will pop up and viola,also you need an itunes card

You have to use iTunes to manage your music. iTunes will import music from your CD's for you.
