just dress stylish- maybe a black dress or something nice. Have fun. Dont over worry what you look like. Enjoy the music and show. It is good for you to go as it rounds you out in understanding things that make the world go round. Many people love opera.

Tell me more, which Opera, what city are you in? What time of day and week? Who are you going with?
Black is always safe for Opera, even it's a black blouse and black pants or skirt (long or knee-length).
Typically opera is a place to dress up but depending on your answers to the above questions you may not have to dress as a star!!
