I'm not sayin all Homosexual marriages last forever, but if we're not legislating who can divorce, why should we legislate who can marry? (and please no "they'll be wanting to marry barnyard animals next". Comparing the two only embarrases yourself)

So if there is no gay marriage there's no gay divorce? Are we trying to protect them with laws preventing their marriage? How noble!

Neither. The real answer is the idiots who get married with no idea of what love is, or having the balls to make it work.

Gay marriage would be no different then hetero marriages. Gay marriages would end in divorce just the same as heteros do. Gay's aren't allowed to get married in alot of states so I guess that is why you haven't heard of that many yet. Gays even getting married is a new thing in our society. Given some time and gays to will be divorced just as often as heteros are. Your asking which is more detrimental to the "sanctity of marriage" well I say both are an abomination. If you read the Bible homosexuality is a sin as well as divorce (except in certain instances.) To God there is no is this sin better or worse.

"Gay marriage" is non-existant and can never truly exist since the very definition/creation of marriage is the union of a man and a woman for the purpose of having kids.
However - if it did exist there would be just as many divorces as hetero. I doubt that homos less prone to divorce that heteros. In fact I would argue just the opposite.

Divorce, for sure.
BUT, statistically speaking, if divorce weren't so easy, very few gay couples would want to get married. In places where it's allowed, the average gay marriage lasts less than a couple of years, where the average heterosexual marriage is more than five or ten years. So gay marriage is (in my opinion) bad only so far as it will contribute to the already high divorce rate.

I don't believe gay marriage has ANYTHING to do with the so-called :sanctity of marriage," but certainly divorce rates do. I don't understandy why the anti-gay marriage folks aren't looking at the stats.
And this crap about procreation and protection of children---how about all the blended families ans step-families and couples who choose not to have children?

You got it all wrong. Lawyer are the main detrimental thing to the "sanctity of marriage" because they break it down to a legal contract.

To me they are BOTH equal, because Marriage was created by God to be between a man and woman, and God created marriage to be for LIFE, for BETTER OR WORSE!!!
So I personally think it's equal.
