2-5!!! guess what..........they were 2-1 vs. the SEC in bowl games this season........... And tell that gentleman that Florida State and Miami are in the ACC.
Natedogg is right. I am from BIG10 country but attend grad school at guess where. I researched it myself back to 1932 and if you generalize the stats, the SEC wins 3 out of 5 games. THAT IS NOT DOMINANCE!!! I wanted OSU to win and we got embarrased, but can you honestly say that Florida was that much better than Ohio State? Or they were they that much better that night? Dude, I know the BIG10 is a conference that deserves to be respected for our athletics and our athletes and so do you, don't even bother to argue it. Lets cut all this conference crap and get a playoff. Boise State proved that your conference opponets don't necessarily indicate the level that you are capable of playing at.

I wish you people that keep asking this question would look at the conferences as a whole instead of talking about the top few teams in the big 10 and leaving the rest of the league out. The SEC's best beat the Big 10's best. While the two wins in bowl games came against SEC teams there are 9 other SEC teams that the rest of the Bg 10 would have to match up against and can't. Who are you going to put against LSU, Georgia, Auburn, South Carolina etc. The point us that outside of the top 4 from the Big 10 there is nothing. That is why the dismal record in bowl games for the rest of the big 10. The SEC had 9 teams in bowls. The SEC has depth. The middle and bottom of the SEC is better than the middle and bottom of the Big 10. Heck the SEC #1 is better than the Big 10 #1. So that being said all you have is two better teams than 2 of the SEC.
You have a dog named Maximus don't you?

Yes, congratulations on the Big Ten's fourth best team defeating the SEC's fifth best. So you're telling me that when comparing two conferences, you only compare interconference games. So because Michigan beat Vanderbilt, that makes the Big Ten better? NO. A major factor is how the conference stands up to all OOC games, not just ones against each other. The Big Ten was 0-4 in all other bowl games. The SEC was 5-1. Also, the SEC won two BCS bowl games (both 41-14), and had two teams finish in the top three of the standings.

I would have to say the SEC is better.
The Big Ten has Michigan, Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Penn State. Other than that, Iowa was a disapointment, and Michigan State, Illinois, Indiana and Minnesota are nothing to write home about.
The SEC on the other hand had National Champion Florida, LSU, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee (who it was apparent didn't show up to play in the Outback Bowl,), South Carolina, who is very underrated, and even Kentucky managed to make a bowl. The other teams, Georgia, Alabama, and Vanderbilt are no push overs either. The only teams that can be considered weak in the SEC are Mississippi and Miss State.

They are both really strong conferences. The SEC had a better record overall, but not head to head in bowl games. Florida and Georgia were the only ones that beat any kind of competition, and conference backers have a right to be proud of those wins. The other games, I don't really see much to boast about. LSU beat a Notre Dame had already been exposed as a fraud by Michigan and USC (and almost by Michigan State and UCLA). Penn State and Wisconsin played very well in their games, Michigan and Ohio State just failed for whatever reason. Unranked Iowa lost, but looked pretty good against #18 Texas. For the SEC to be as boastful as they are being, I'd like to have seen LSU take on USC or even Boise and see what they did.

The SEC is maybee a little bit deeper this year. Most SEC fans are impartial dumb asses. They are from the south and only care about thier precious SEC. Ohio State would beat Florida at least 6 out of ten times if they played 10 times. Michigan would fall into the same category against USC. Luckily for the Big 10 it's 2nd and 3rd tier teams won bowl games. The Big ten was a little down this year with underachieving Iowa and Michigan State teams. In general the SEC is no better than the big ten. Each conference has it's ups and downs.

SEC teams do not always beat Big 10 teams. They do, however, always beat OSU, 0-8. I did my research. Talent wise I would say that the SEC is the best top to bottom almost every year. Props to Wisconsin and Penn State for winning their games. Could they beat Florida, LSU, Auborn this year, NO.

properly I say the SEC is the better convention simply by fact we've extra communities that are relatively stable, not super, yet relatively stable and the huge ten in simple terms has 2 communities that relatively stand out (Ohio and Michigan) while interior the SEC exceptionally lots each team would reason a undertaking (LSU, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, Auburn, Ole omit, Alabama, Arkansas, omit State, Vandy), it is so interesting simply by fact this is many times a super recreation no remember who you play, they have the possibility to beat your team. If the huge 10 had extra high quality communities, it does not have despatched Ohio State to the championship recreation 2 years in a row. And Ohio would have been in a position to pull off a win in one in all those video games, if that they had better opposition of their convention. you're in simple terms as stable simply by fact the communities you play and that they did not play everybody different than for Illi and Michigan, a minimum of no person that replaced into any stable in any respect.

If you say the best bowl records or most Bowl wins is what matters then the Big 10 is better then the SEC.
So bigvol was that SEC Math. You know 6 wins of 9 games is NOT .750 it is only .667. Learn the difference between 3/4 and 2/3.

The SEC sent a RECORD 9 teams to bowls and won 6 of them for a winning percentage of .750. What did the Big Ten do? Sure they played three SEC teams in bowls and won 2, but how about the rest of the league and how they played? Head to head, the Big Ten and SEC are darn near even in most matchups, depending on who had played who the most times and garnered the most wins, but since you based your argument on the BOWLS this season, I thought I'd mention the facts about the SEC'S record performance this season.
