I am 26 weeks pregnant and last night I got this feeling of pressure down below my belly and in my stomach. It hurts and I have just been laying all day. I tried to go to the bathroom and it made some pain go away a little, but I still feel the pain. I have felt the baby moving, but I still have a lot of pressure. I do not think it is labor pains, because I do get braxton hicks, but it seems to be a constant pain. Any sugestions, besides going to the doctor?

I am also 26wks pregnant and have been experiencing a pain like this for the past 4/5 days.

I had an ob appointment on Monday and she told me that it was stretching pains and that baby had turned upside down in there and was now head down - which explained the low pressure i had been feeling! As baby turned around again the pressure i felt would disappear.

She told me it was nothing to worry about - it was just a "pregnancy related discomfort"... as i am now accustomed to after 26wks of it! lol.

By all means mention it to your doc - but i'm sure it is fine and just another lovely pregnancy symptom! lol.

BTW i felt baby squirming around alot this morning and the pressure is no longer, so i guess baby is now head up again!

Good luck :)

I'm 27 weeks and the same thing happens to me, it's like my stomach gets real tight for a while. I think it's the baby moving down, maybe turning head down. If the pain is constant and does seem to be fading or go away you should call your doctors office just to make sure.

I am 26 weeks along myself and it sounds exactly like what I am going through. DR said it was round ligament pains from stretching and soreness from the baby being so active lately (in my case). Hope that's all it is, of course you should check with your DR at your next appt too.

As long as there is no red bleeding and agonizing cramps you should be ok. Just take some regular strength Tylenol and take it easy. Good luck!

Go to the doctor is the only suggestion. The baby could have dropped, but I think it is early.

Take you own advice and go to the dr - it is the safest thing.
