Which am I supposed to apply first concealer or foundation?

Please let me know I've heard it both ways.Does anyone out there REALY know how to apply it.

I always apply my foundation first and here's why:
1) That's how Bobbi Brown does it
2) A lot of blemishes can be covered up with foundation alone. If more coverage is needed you can use concealer. However, if you apply concealer first you can end up with a cakey complexion.

Hmmmm....this question reminds me of "Which came first? The chicken or the egg?" I guess there really isn't a correct answer. I've heard so many different reviews and opinions. Some people like to dab concealer on first, thinking their foundation will even out the color. Others agree that putting foundation on first makes a good base, thus making your concealor last longer. I guess it all just comes down to a matter of preference. I personally don't need concealer, but if I did, I'd apply my primer and then my foundation first for better lasting power.

First apply foundation, that might do the trick
Then use powder-pressed or loose, whichever you prefer-to set in the foundation

If you want, now use a green concealer over anything red, a little foundation over that, and THEN a skin-colored concealer
Set again with powder

The key is, obviously, layering.

Hi,
A lot of so-called experts say before, but I have been doing it after the foundation for 25 years! It wears better and is more easily touched up. Up to you.
