Maybe he really believes his own rhetoric because he still listens too much to his advisers and has no own insight into global politics himself to have any other outlook The rumor is that he doesn't want to be the one to pull out,by tilling this over to the next election he's not the one who lost the war,it's about prestige.
That would mean his legacy and prestige mean more than American life's.Let's hope we are wrong on that and see what he has to say for himself.

you recognize what?! i'm so ill of human beings complaining approximately this war. Why dont you attempt being president and working a rustic and attempting to come lower back to a call particularly or to no longer come out of iraq. The troops choose our help. If Bush comes out too quickly, then iraq is purely going to come lower back after us. Now i agree additionally that we've been over there for relatively a mutually as now too, yet i think of that bush is doing what he can. So all you complainers don't make something extra suited. And im optimistic that if Bush's babies wished to connect the army he could enable them to flow over there. Why dont you connect?

I searve in the us army as a 11b and the reasion bush feels that a surge of troops in Iraq will help stop the vilonce in Iraq.People such as myself and 75% of us soldiers know for the fact that this will not help but make the war over there much worse and kill more family and friends over there. The surge of troops show our enemys and Iraqy people that we are not able to contain the increasing Violence and will cause more Violence in the country and will kill alot more of us.There is not winning this war and as soon as we leave they country will fall apart and destroy itself.I have lost 23 good friens to this retarded war and Bush needs to be removed from office. He has made a huge amount of money by selling oil contracts to the highest bidders and taking a % of it from those companys he gives first crack at it.He changes out general who will not agree with him nor has he listen once to what generals tell him on the ground,I have been over there a few times and ever time we advise him of what need to be done and he will not or has ever actualy listen to advise from those wh are realy in country and carys on with what he feels is best for him not the country.I am sorry to be a rep. and be associated with hes party in the many illegal acts he and his party here and in Iraq to falsefy intel to gain approval with the american people. If people realy understoon what was going on here and what bush is doing to stay here and for what reasion,it would angry many of us.There where never WMDs was made up by the cia by the order of bush, they said there where none in country and it angered him and he inreturned told them to find somthing or edit findings. As for protecting us is make it hat much unsafer for us,we are to spread thin,if the us wasaattacked we dont have the resorces to protect this country. We need to be worry about treats to us not butting in other countrys that dont even wants us there. Bush is the worst pres. we have ever had,he endangers this country every day more and more for political gain and for personal gain.I will never supprt his party ever,i am sorry to be call a rep. He needs to be impeached and charged with murding us soldiers in a war for person gain.Watch him on tv and any question he eather weaves around and never answers or returns with a nother question inreturn. Hes a idiot and needs to be shot.

I agree...Let's pull out the troops, let the Iraqis take care of themselves.
Then we can tell those soldiers coming back that they went over there for nothing. When the insurgents take over again, and another Hussein takes over, then we can tell the soldier's families (you know the ones...the ones that lost their life in Iraq) that their child lost their life for nothing, because we pulled out too soon. Let's do that. Let's not finish the job. Let's take the place of the French (who are always accused of surrendering, of giving up) Let's teach all the children of the world that it's okay to not finish a job. Let's teach all the children that it's okay to stand by and watch innocent people be killed by a madman while we have the ability to take care of it.
As a matter of fact, let's ignore the genocide in Ruwanda. Let's take the same approach and turn a blind eye. "They'll be better off anyway," at least according to your logic. We shouldn't intervene.
Great Freakin' Idea. Let's not take care of business and get Iraq to a point where they are not oppressed, or even killed. GOOD IDEA, dumba$$.

All he is doing is furthering they ever-growing stereotype of the American people as senseless invaders. Besides, the problem is a goverment issue, not a military issue.

vegas chick. " He is trying to protect Americans from another plane crashing into another one of our buildings and killing thousands of more Innocent people." Iraq had nothing to do with that. There were no terrorist in Iraq until we invaded.

The funny thing is that he cares more than you do. To him the troops are people - you seem to regard them as nothing more than props for your politics.
If you want to find out how President Bush feels about the troops in uniform - read this.

May I remind you that the military is a voluntary, and the men and women serving over there are doing so out of their own free will. They knew that they would be called up if the situation presented itself. Why do people continue to bash this country and its leaders, move away to another country if you hate it that much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To keep those delusional 30%ers convinced that he is trying to put an end to the violence in Iraq. He just doesn't want to fall any farther in the polls.

In war people die. Liberals often like to use harsh images to promote their viewpoint. Its a wonder they ignore the harshness of abortion though. However, war is a necessity, especially in this instance. No one wants soldiers to die. But they signed up and understand that if they die, they die for a cause, and die for their nation. These men and women consistently sign up for redeployment, and most do not oppose the war. This is supported by the statistics, that 76-80% of soldiers vote Republican. So yes, death may make some feel bad and scare some. But our soldiers understand the risks, and bravely take them on so they can fight for our country.
