If you must tell her, think of why you did it and what makes this person worthy of your attentions that she did not see before. Assure her that your interest in this person is not a betrayal of your friendship with her and really has nothing to do with it at all. Be calm and respectful.

Best friend means the one who really care for you. She cared for you & thats why warned you for something you must not do but you did.
Just make sincere appology to her directly & dont leave her alone if she yells at you.
There are somethings which couldnt be told, but their outcomes are so dangerous that one doesnt wants his/her dear ones to get involved in those things.
