It depends where you are on the autobahn. Contrary to popular belief, there are several areas where a speed limit is posted. Not all areas have "no speed limit". Most areas there and in other countries have a speed limit of 120 KM.

On german Autobahn there's no general speed limit, only on several parts and in most cases due to the traffic conditions. The highest speed limit I can remember is 130 km / h which is about 80 mph.

In some sections on the highways in germany there is absolutely no speed limit (maybe about 50%, but that's just a guess), however, there are of course some more dangerous parts of the highways, in which it is only allowed to drive as fast as 75 to 80 mp/h (120 to 130 km/h). And that is the speed limit of most of the other european countries.
