The best thing to do is go to a beauty store and buy acetone (strong nail polish) and soak your nails in the acetone. This will help you "peel" them off, then you can file and buff them down and you should be okay- as long as they didnt destroy your nails putting the tips on. Getting acrylic nails is not really good for your nail.. cause then your real nails cant breathe... but hey we make sacrifices to feel nice every day. This is usually the way I get them off.

To take off acrylic nails, soak them in a shallow dish filled with 100% Pure acetone. You can buy it at most beauty supply stores, the best place is Sally Beauty Supply. When the nail is "slimy" feeling, gently buff off with a buff pad or use a new nail brush. You must repeat this process several times to disolve the nail completely. Most nail salons will aslo take the nails off for $10. Afterwork, use a nail fortifying polish clear coat by Sally Hanson (that works best). Good luck!

You don't have to go to a beauty store to get acetone you can go to any Wal- Mart and get Pure acetone. It will be with nail polish remover. If you don't want to use acetone then you can use fingernail polish remover because it contains acetone it will just take longer. If you got your nails put on professionally you can usually go back there and they will take them off for 5 or 10 dollars.
