I pick it up and put it in their mailbox if nobody's looking. Or light it on fire on their front porch. Then again, I don't have a dog so why am I answering this question?

I pick it up...if I find poop on my yard then I look and evaluate the poop if it's a little poop, most likely it's from a small dog and I'll go around to everyone who I know has a small dog and let my dog poop on their yard and leave it there...If the poop is big, most likely from a big dog then I go to all the people who I know have big dogs and let my dog poop there...nobody messes with me..

That's a good question,
Follow these ideas:

1) If you forgot poopy bags then just leave it and go back to the house to get poopy bags and go back and pick up the poop.
2) You should pick it up if you brought poopy bags.

If you don't pick up your put your breaking the law and if a police officer spots you not picking up your dogs poo then you would have to pay 242,000 dollars!

(I read a sign about that at a baseball field)

I always pick it up, no matter where I am.

The only reason is that when people don't, dogs are the only ones that get punished--for example not letting them off leashes at parks, not allowing them on beaches, stuff like that. It makes people not want to allow dogs places because their owners are irresponsible.

If someone's dog shat in your yard, would you want them to leave it for you?

you definately pick it up. you dont know if these people have small children or not (who may play in the yard). how awful would you feel knowing a 3 year old fell in your dog's poop all because you were too lazy to pick it up?

That's what poop bags are for~~ Every dog owner should have them tied to the dog's leash. You should see what happens when someones dog poops in my yard and they leave it.

When I had a dog I picked it up. I no longer speak to my neighbor because she used to let her dogs poop in my yard every day.I asked her nicely no fewer than 10 times to not let them do that and/or pick it up, she just laughed it off, one day I TOTALLY blew up at her, she stopped talking to me but guess what...the dogs stopped pooping in my yard.

Once your dog poops in your neighbor's yard, here is what you do.

You (and your dog) proceed to the neighbor's front door. Press the door bell or knock on the door. When your neighbor answers the door, hold out your hand and ask him/her to pay you. When they give you the puzzled look you are sure to receive, tell them they owe you for fertilizing their yard. Tell them you don't do that sh*t for free!

The only right thing to do is pick it up. You wouldn't want another dog's poop in your yard, right?

Of course you should clean it up!
Or else make sure your dog only goes in your yard, then it's up to you if you want to clean it.
(But if you go to McDonald's and get something to drink and then when you're finished, you throw the cup out the window into someone else's yard and drive off, then you probably wouldn't clean up after your dog either.)
The point being, why, if they don't feed your dog, should they have to clean up after it?
