I had a tummy tuck 4 years ago to get rid of excess skin and stretch marks. Now i want to have another baby. I am just wondering what happens to your stomach. was it just as bad as before or not as bad?

Generally, a tummy tuck is something you undergo after you have had children and don't plan on having anymore. The effects of childbirth may not be as great with someone who has already undergone a tummy tuck, but you want to have the best results possibly, therefore, a good plastic surgeon will recommend that you wait if you planning on having more.

From my experience, the effects of having a child after a tummy tuck just depend on how extensive your situation is. Yes, you will probably get more stretch marks as a result of this. As for excess skin, that is also a good possiblity. Did you have a tummy tuck to get rid of stretchmarks only, or did you also have some excess skin you were wanting to get rid of as well.

Obviously, you'll want to wait and see. If it's not an excess skin issue, try microderm treatments in conjunction with topical solutions. There's also the laser option as well. Every good medspa or laser clinic will have their own "remedy" for getting rid of stretchmarks. They should, however, let you know EXACTLY what you can expect from treatment and not promise you total removal of your stretchmarks. In most cases, that's just not possible. A good thing to remember: The earlier you treat them (when they're fresh), the easier they are to fade. Check out the site below for some medspa and clinics in your area. Hope this helps!
