Oh honey I feel for you!

my best advice is absolutely nothing. I was 38 weeks and barely 1 cm, we tried sex, lots & lots of walking, walking uphill seemed to bring on the most contractions (we were out until 2 am walking up and down this stupid hill) but never amounted to anything.
Nipple stimulation didn't work, spicy food didn't work (killer heartburn) the only thing I didn't try was Castor oil, and they say that doesn't even work all the time (can bring side effects to the baby though).
I also spent the last three weeks of my pregnancy on my hands and knees scrubbing every inch of my house with a toothbrush.
After all of that when I hit 40 weeks I was still barely 1 cm dialated. I was induced on my due date and my baby was only 6 pounds 14 ounces, had no problems but I really believe my due date was off and he wasn't quite ready to come out yet.

My best advice is to wait it out, that baby will come when he/she is good and ready to! Sorry hun!

you are dialated only to one cm? That raelly doesnt mean anything at all. Sorry hun! I was dialated to three cm for many weeks. (IT REALLY GOT MY HOPES UP TOO!)Ask Dr. how much you are effaced next time you get checked (it means just a tad bit more but still dont get your hopes up)There really is nothing to speed up the process if you want a heathy baby with as few complications as possible. Enjoy your pregnancy while you have it because pretty soon your nights will be long and you wont have as much time for yourself or your partner. There are plenty things you can do to prepare and to help keep your mind off the "when is this going to come already?" type of feeling. Get a baby book or scrapbook, get some good batteries and film for your camera, get a plan for baby pictures, buy diapers and essentials. Look for baby announcements and address the envelopes now to save time later. Set up an appointment for your 6 week postpartum check up. And most importantly, take lots of pictures of your belly and try to capture some video of your baby moving your belly. It will be neat to look back on someday! Oh, and also dont forget to read up on baby books, after my fourth baby, I still had a ton to learn even though I thought I knew it all! It's good to think about whether you will breast or bottle feed and if and how you want to schedule your baby for naps and feedings. Good luck!

I was dilated to 1 at 36 weeks and did not have the baby until 10 days after my due date. I tried everything, walking, sex, spicy foods ( I ate jalapenos straight out of the jar) the baby is going to come when he or she is ready. You can ask your Dr. to try stripping your membranes, that sometimes does help, although it didn't for me. Good Luck!

I tried everything with my first. I was 4cm at 36 weeks and still delivered only three days before my due date. Nothing will really work..I'm convinced lol. I'm 37 weeks along with my second and I'm like you..dying for this baby to come out! You can just try walking a lot, nipple stimulation, castor oil (which I wouldnt do personally), eating pinapple (or so Ive heard). Who knows if anything will work for you. We both may be stuck for another 2.5-3 weeks. Best of luck to you and your little one!

Only being 37 weeks i wouldn't rush it. Let the baby come when it's ready. You could be dilated to a 1 for weeks before labor begins. Although walking really helps getting your body prepared for labor and birth. Walk as much as you can otherwise take it easy.

that's obtainable, yet dilation ought to no longer inform you lots at this component - that is why your healthcare expert hasn't checked. For a known toddler, normally no longer plenty will ensue till precise till now the toddler is born, so dilation exams could properly be b-o-r-i-n-g and problematical in case you do no longer see something occurring. First infants additionally normally come after the due date. My first replaced into 2 weeks previous due. 2d replaced right into a week previous due. 0.33 replaced right into some days previous due. Fourth replaced into 2 days early (because of the fact he replaced into precipitated).

mix 2 tablespoons of castrol oil in a glass of orange juice (it helps hide the taste) and drink it. If the baby is ready you will have it within 48 hours. If the baby is not ready, you will have a good bowel movement.

Walking is what they had me do in hospital. The next option would be to have your dr break your water and then it should speed it up some. It was slow going with my 1st child. It will come when it is time. I wouldn't get in any hurry.

I'd stick with walking, and unless you are having contractions I doubt your doctor will break your water for you. Just walk, try to relax, and get as much sleep as you can now cause in a couple of weeks sleep will be a luxury for a while.

Nipple stimulation, walking, and long bumpy car rides. I went in to pre trem labor at 23 wks and this is what the doctor told me to avoid. Good luck
