Evanescene - My Immortal, and Chiristina Agularia's hurt. I'm looking for a song which talks about not being given the chance to tell a loved one how much you cared and it haunts you.

Will the Circle Be Unbroken by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band says...
Undertaker please drive slowly. You're carrying my mama away!

Think of Laura was a song on General Hospital when Laura was persumed dead...
When you think of Laura...laugh, don't cry. She'd want it that way!

Reba McEntyre has a song that says something about the man down the hall. She didn't know her daddy loved her until after he died...then she figured it out.

Jim Croce...Time in a Bottle.
If I could save time in a bottle,
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save everyday til eternity passes away
Then I would spend them with you.
But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do
Once you find them.

BTW, country music is a great place to find these type of songs.

On the funny side of the subject...
David Allan Coe sings "the perfect country and western song",
You never even called me by my name says...
I was drunk the day my mama got out of prision.
I went to pick her up in the rain.
Before I could get to the station in my pick up truck,
She got runned over by a damned old train!

Good luck in your search. If you are suffering from the loss of a loved one, I am sorry. You have done the right thing by trying to channel your greif toward your love of music. There is some truth somewhere and some comfort somewhere. I hope you find it in a song. I say "Lyricists are the Lips of the Lord." God speaks to us through the joy of music. I hope you find the peace you seek to find.

I love Drops of Jupiter through Train, it is approximately the fellow's mom loss of life of melanoma despite the fact that so it is all approximately a girl. I believe perhaps Tears in Heaven through Eric Clapton might be well. I've misplaced a dad or mum too, so plenty of affection from me xxxx

One of my favorites is the hidden song at the end of Glassjaw's 'Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence.' After an album of verbally (physically?) destroying a girl, the soft piano song talks of regret and missed opportunity.

Fraudulent miracles make miracles seem ****,
Rice paper princess, I guess too poor for flesh,
**** you, in the midst of the perfection,
Rain on the parade, me that's crowding daylight
And the horns on the hood of a saint,
**** you, and never the two shall meet,
Said the tiger to its greatest fan,
The amount of love you wish to give is more than I can stand,
And now you leave me in defeat,
leave me a battered broken man,
The amount of love you wish to give is more than I can stand,
And now I have you where I want you,
I know that you are listening,
This is my chance to tell you everything,
My chance to tell you I love you,
But I’ve waited too long,
And now the records over,
Now the records over…"
