How can I change from no picture to one of the cute animatted pics that everyone seems to have?

Do you have a yahoo avatar. Well i just went to my profile and clicked edit my profile and then it asked me if I wanted to use my avatar and I clicked yes. It is thst easy.

When you check your Yahoo email. On the first page(homepage) you see a square with no picture in it, right? click it!

go to your messenger and click the blank thing
