never happend to me but of course i'd figure the kids would think of me as a tramp and a w hore and that's something that i would have to learn to live with until i could really earn their love & respect.

You should have thought about the people you were hurting during the affair. And now you face the music. You have no right to spend
any time with them, they are not your kids, and they have a right to
hate and despise you.
Start by appologizing to them, and to the Spouse of the person you are with. And answer this question, how would you feel if you were in the same shoes?

The question you should be asking yourself is: If they are capable of leaving their spouse for you, what will keep them from one day leaving you for someone else? No one seems to think of this when first they start to cheat. Better that they figure out they need to leave first, before finding someone else.
You're in a tough spot any way you look at it. Cheating and lies always create this kind of situation.
Are you sure this is where you want to be? Is she worth it? (think long term here). If so, all you can do is play it one day at a time. If both of you have rational reasons why things came out the way they did, then you should have no reason to believe the children won't (eventually) be understanding. But if you feel guilty over it, then you may want to look a little deeper...

I don't mean to be judgmental, but why are you so concerned with the kids now? You should have taken the children under consideration when you were having an affair with a married man.
Do you honestly think he'll be faithful to you? Once a cheater, ALWAYS a cheater.

First off, very rarely will they leave the spouse and kids. Second, if he did, I sure as hell hope the kids treat you like the homewrecking whore you are. Third, what goes around comes around, so don't think you're immune to being cheated on. He did it once, he'll do it again.

Never been there, but I would think it would be extremely dificult to face the kids and everyone else because now they all would know what I was and the type person I was. You have to live the life you made.

That would be a good question if it wasn't so unlikely to happen. If you really think he is leaving his family for you, think again. Read the questions here, it hardly ever happens. If it did happen, I'd lock up the knives at night. Those kids are gonna hate you, even though daddy is the real scumbag.

Of course you can't face the kids, you ruined their home. You have to understand that those kids may NEVER want to have a relationship with you and you will just have to live with that.

I've never done it, but I would imagine so. And the person who caused the individual to leave their spouse should prepare themselves for heartache. Because when you do dirt, you will continually get dirty

You need to find someone who isn't married. OR you're in for hell until those kids are grown.
If he's going to cheat on his wife with you, he's going to cheat on you with the next...not a very smart move at all.......
You should be ashamed of yourself. And I *do* hope you get hell from those kids.

I would think yes, it would be very difficult facing the children of the home you just wrecked due to out of control carnal desires.
