The other way is to bring up google home page and there should be something saying "make this my home page".

Sounds like you could have spyware and it hijacked your home page. You might want to get Ad-aware PE or Spybot to check for unwanted programs. What web browser are you using? If you are using Internet Explorer, click on Tools>Internet options and type in your preferred home page and then hit okay. Or go to google.com and then go Tools>Internet Options and click on Use Current then click on Okay.

Go to start, control panel, Internet options.
The the address field, remove whatever address that is in there and put http://www.google.com

type in www.google.com and when it comes up go to tools, internet options, save current. This means when you open your internet it will automatically go to google.

if u goto start ---> control pannel --> internet options and u can change it here.
