You'll have to check to see if these schools offer the majors you want, but the historically black colleges with the best reps with grad schools and employers are Spelman and Morehouse, down in Atlanta, and Howard University, in DC. These are highly prestigious schools.

I've attached a link to a list of historically black colleges, in case it helps.

Alabama A&M is in Huntsville, Al... which, surprisingly, is a huge tech hub.

The city is loaded with tech, rocket and engineering opportunities out the whazoo.

The city is home to a NASA center and a large Corps of Engineers support center and several tech industries have gravitated to the city because of them. The city is also home to the Redstone Arsenal which has historically played an integral role in America's ballistic missile defense programs.

Alabama A&M is strong in these high-tech and engineering fields because of the surrounding area. You should probably at least give it a thought along with the other schools you are considering,

I hope this helps.

Side note: Huntsville has one of the highest PhDs per capita in the country.
