Im going to a 50s theme party. What to wear?

Its with the company I take swing lessons from, and I dont want to do the poodle skirt thing. What ELSE can I do to fit in tonight? Something easily accesible please!

If it's tonight:

White t-shirt w/ rolled up sleeves or a button-up
jeans rolled up
hair in ponytail with a scarf tied into it
saddleshoes would be great, but canvas ones will do.

wear straight leg jeans with loafers or a simular shoe and cuff them at the bottom so your white socks stick out, wear a colored scarf around your neck or in your hair, tuck a t shirt in and cuff the sleves, or wear a little button up sweater that only goes to your waist. Add an initial pin or a big initial on the sweater. Good luck and have fun!

You could always wear tight jeans that you roll up, a big white button-up shirt, bobby socks, and saddle shoes. You can take an old pair of white tennies and paint the "saddle" on with black shoe polish. Do your hair in a 50's 'do like a pony tail or a flip. Have a great time!

Roll up jeans, wear a cardigan & pearls and tie your hair back with a scarf or tie around your neck. Alternatively, wear a white button up shirt tied at your waist. Wear loafers or keds with bobby socks. Slick on some bright red lipstick and you're done.

ps: if you're going for authenticity, my mom said they actually wore crew neck cardigans backwards with the buttons up the back.
