What kind of Latin are we talking about? Latin like in Ballroom Latin or some other type?

As a Ballroom Latin, what I find important is your abs are never too strong and your feet are never too strong. Keep developing abs and arches. You really need both.
A good exersice for all dancers is Pilates. It strengthens the core muscles, not only abs. I bought a DVD at a bookstore, it helps, it was under $20 if I remember it right. For feet, go up on your toes and lower your weight back to the original position 20 times in a row. That's a start. You can also do lunges when boyth of your feet are on your toes. That's a tricky one, also helps your balance.
As for flexibility - splits are good to have, and flexible back is good too. If you don't have spilts and bridges - keep working on that.

To learn the moves, you should attend classes or some other kind of organized instructions. Look for classes at your local community college or a dance studio.

Yes however the sort of bellydance she plays in her movies isn't core jap dance. She mixes hip hop dance with bellydance undulations and shimmies however that is no longer the sort of dance you'll be able to learn should you come to a bellydance elegance.
