"Something the Lord Made" which was an HBO film, but which you can find in video stores, deals with racism as a side plot, but it is actually a very important part of the film, and I highly recommend it.
"Remember the Titans" is one of my favorite films, and it deals with racism as a rather large plot element. It is easy to find in video stores.
"A Soldier's Story" is a bit older, and may be a bit harder to find, but still work tracking down.
"Monster's Ball" and "Jungle Fever" both deal with racism and how it affects relationships between lovers. Both are fairly easy to find.
"The Constant Gardner" has a strong element of racism in it. I don't want to spoil the plot, but look at who is the target of unfairness, and how their race makes them vulnerable. It's fairly new, so it should be easy to find.
I pretty much only named films that deal with racism toward black people, as that's what you named in your question. There are a lot of other movies out there that deal with racism where the targets are Jewish people, or Mexican people or what have you. If you need more titles, please contact me and I will try and get some more for you.

The most recent one I can think of would be Crash. The next one I can think of would be Higher Learning, then films like Mississippi Burning, A Time to Kill, The Color Purple, Amistad.

"Guess who's coming to dinner?" is a classic about a white family dealing with their daughter's desire to marry a black man. Since it is set in the 1960s it was quite controversial.
Also, the first film ever is Birth of a Nation and is about the KKK.
Lots of comedies or buddy action movies deal with race, such as Shanghai Noon, 48 hours, Coming to America, Born in East LA, Barbershop, etc.
Amistad comes to mind, and lots of Spike Lee: Jungle Fever, Do the Right Thing.

Freedom Writers is in theaters now. It was awesome.
As a white woman, I didn't realize the cause of such strong racial tension, especially between other races in inner cities. The movie definitely taught me some things.
