I rather buy a phone that's less expensive then the Apple iPhone because when the phone comes out in June 2007 it will be priced at $499 to $599. I can buy a new laptop for those prices.

I will if i sell y granny on ebayto fund it.
Like so many other apple products I want to weep that I cant afford it.
But the price may well be worth the it.
At the moment I have to take my clunky pc laptop for entertainment, my k800i is OK but the iphone will mean I could leave all that stuff at home.

Not at the price they're coming out at, but after they've been out for a little while I could see me getting one. I definitely like the idea. It will take a little time to see how it really works out. Historically all-in-one devices do everything fairly poorly.
Will say that big touch screen makes me nervous, though. See that breaking.
(BTW, that Guardian link that someone posted above is not for the iPhone, it's for the Rokr, the lame, limited music phone from a couple years ago).

I think it sounds really neat. But you have to realize that the prices will probably go down some if you wait later. That is how a lot of things are.

the iphone looks amazing and i actually found a site that's offereing cheaper ones. if you put in your zip code at http://doiop.com/myiphone , they'll give you info on shipments and quantity of iphones at the stores

another crap and overpriced apple product. its strongest selling point is the apple logo and some aesthetical features
