Not really, I felt it was a weak adaptation

No it does not. I have read the book 4 times and I love it. I also have read the 2nd book Eldest 2wice and I love it too. I went and saw the movie on the 15th and don't get me wrong, I really liked it execpt it was almost like it was a different movie. The movie was really good. Good music, good location it was shot at, but it was entirely different. Every little thing was changed somehow. I really liked the movie but don't go to the theater and think you are going to see everything you read from the book. I would still go see it if I were you, just see it with an open mind, not a closed book.

Eragon (the attempted movie) doesn't follow the book, it's own plotline, or any semblence of logic. It's 103 minutes of your life you will never get back. No other movie I can think of has caused so many to say "what was I thinking?"
