Start a blog and submit your daily posts to reddit, digg and others.
Join a free link exchange to increase your page rankings
things along those lines can help a lot!

Well, you could send out an email to all your friends and then tell them to forward it to as many people as possible and say in the email, "There's this awesome new website about _________ and you should go to it! Send this on to everyone you know!" or you could pay money to get advertisements. Email me and tell me about the website, and I will definetely go there!!!
