I would say it is between 3 teams, Suns, Mavs, and Spurs. My money is on the Mavs. As much as I LOVE watching the Suns and watching Amare improve seemingly daily, they still aren't tough enough defensively to win a championship. I just can't seem them making the critical defensive stops teams need to win championships. In regards to the Spurs, I think the Mavs beating them last year was sort of a passing of the torch. While the Spurs are not really an OLD team, I feel that their window of opportunity to win the championship has closed.

The Mavs are a very good and YOUNG team, meaning they can only get better (which is scary). Plus having the best record in the league and being only the 20th team in the history of the league to have two winning streaks of 10-plus games in the same season doesn't hurt either.

I think the team with the most points in each game will win. But seriously, I think it is between the Mavs and Suns in the West. Cleveland and Detroit in the east. For the finals I see the suns over the cavaliers in 6. As for Miami, I think they will be lucky to make the playoffs (but they will cause they are in the east), but they will not make it past the 2nd round.

I'm thinking the Spurs. Tim Duncan is a no frills stud. I went to a game a month ago in Sac and he quietly scored 30+ points. Not to mention Parker, Finley, Bowen and Gebobli. Nuggets got a little better with AI but he will self destruct soon. Heat, need Shaq back so I say Spurs.

Who are these choices??? Bobcats? Nuggets? I think the question was who do you think will win, not who do you want to win.

I have to go with the phoenix suns. If they manage to stay healthy for the playoffs, they have the best chance to win the playoffs. Staying away from injuries is such a big part of wining a championship. That is why we are noticing the stacking of all-stars on one team. In 06 the maimi heat won with a healthy shaq and wade. In 05 the spurs won with a healthy duncan, parker and ginobli.

So I think any of these 4 teams (heat, spurs, suns and mavericks) that can manage to stay healthy for the playoffs will have a good shot at the title.

If it was easy to predict 1 winner you would find a lot of people in vegas betting on the outcome.

Dallas are the team to beat right now, they have the best record in the league at 28-8, Dirk, Howard, and Terry are playing excellent basketball, and should carry the team to the final if everyone stay healthy.

The Phoenix Suns. With Amare healthy and the two-time MVP Steve Nash, the offense is unstoppable. Plus, they are actually playing defense this year. Raja, Marion, Thomas and Amare are locking people down when they need to.
