I have sent many of these packages to my husband and I recommend getting cookies pre-packed, candies, and a summer sausage platter these last usually 1-2 months look at the expiration he will not need room to store what he dose not finish the guys around will, also some pictures hid well like send a little photo book and have regular pics in it then in between them put some extra ones as sexie as you wanna get and write a letter and in it say look in between the photos for you v-day gift I wish I could give you in person. Also some soap, and a nice loaf guys usually do not get these things but appreciate them. Good Luck with what ever you choose and remember to wear your yellow ribbon one pic was just me holding one. If you wanna spend a lot ipod, lap top but you said bf so save your money tell he has been there a little longer.

Having been to Iraq, I can tell you first hand that during the summer months, there is NO way to send any type of snack that will melt. Due to how long it takes (approx 2-3 weeks) to receive and the mail is shipped in metal shipping containers, even things like dry ice won't last long enough in that heat. Other cookies and snacks that are not chocolate based are a possibility such as sugar or peanut butter cookies.

I was in the Navy for 6 years. My wife sent me ramen noodles, books, board games or a deck of cards. Of course send him a valentine card and maybe some pictures of yourself and what not. Things that will keep his mind straight, and off the length of time he will be gone.

send him pictures, magazines, or books. Add jellybeans, as they hold up well or even choclate sealed in a tin container. Add some music to the package so he has something to listen to, and if they have tv's where he's at ssend him some movies. Also a nice touch have his friends & family write short letters & add that to the package.
