I like mine...but it is homemade. The ones at walmart and Target look uncomfortable and like you won't be able to use them for long. Mine is very adjustable. It should work for newborns up to at least 2 years and can be used in several positions. My sling is just 2 yards of fabric from the fabric store and 2 large metal rings. Fold the fabric longways twice, and then I folded mine longways into a fanfold that made it about 3 inches wide. Then I sewed the 2 short ends so that the fan fold stayed. I looped one of the ends around the 2 rings and sewed the end in place so that the rings couldn't slide off of the fabric. Voila! You have a sling! To use you just wear it like a sash by weaving the one end thru the rings on the opposite end. When putting baby in just open up the folds so that baby is sitting on 2 layers of fabric. Lightweight, portable, washable.
Edit: I like the link that Lecky gave. The sling is just like mine, and it shows many pictures of people wearing the baby to help you get an idea of the different positions you can use.

sure, an "over the shoulder toddler holder". seem it up on a seek. It replaced into the only way i'd desire to mop my floor interior the day. My daughter at a youthful age does not enable me to place her dow for something. So, I had her interior the sling with me with the aid of all my homestead artwork. it worked properly.

It was Ok but I found it really heavy to carry - you can't use it for long unless you have a really tiny baby and they can be quite awkward to put on alone, OK when your at home but if you take them out and then need to put them back whilst your out it can be a bit fiddly. Cleaning was easy though because you can machine wash most brands.

yes. The easyness of it depends on the kind, I used a Graco model and it was fairly easy. It was awkard at first but I got used to it.

LOVE LOVE LOVED slinging my babies.
Wore them all until they were 2-3 years old. (Many are rated up to 35 pounds.)
Makes life SOOooo much easier.....especially if you have more than one child.
If you use it correctly (wear the sling high enough on your body and spread the fabric out flat enough on your shoulders) it should be comfortable and be easier on your back than carrying the child.

i think that they are well over rated i had one and used it a couple of time such waste of money although if you have a c section they are good because you can lift the baby with out hurting yourself. and the big ones with the frames are OK if your into hiking

The best thing I have ever bought!!
Easy to put on, adjusts to babys growth.
Suitable from birth to about 3.
Easy to wash.
Small enough to fold up into a handbag.
I just can't praise it enough!!
