A chicken and an egg are lying in bed. The chicken is leaning against the headboard smoking a cigarette, with a satisfied smile on its face. The egg, looking a bit pissed off, grabs the sheet, rolls over, and says, "Well, I guess we finally answered THAT question."

Well well well.....what an original question!!!!!!!!
Right this is what happened!! imo.
their once was 2 differen but similar species of bird ,they both had similarities to the modern day chicken but were not chickens(same as the black bird looks a little like a small crow but it is'nt)! The birds mated together, and an egg was laid, what came out of the egg was a hybrid of the two original birds, a mixture of the two(half cast in fact) and this is how the modern chicken was created!
SO THE EGG CAME FIRST!

If this question is the chicken and the annoyance it lays the egg then the chicken is the question and that came first so the answer is the chicken but where did the chicken come from?

I'm Armenian, our society was butchered by the Turks in what was the 1st genocide of the 20th century. Most armenians are of christian faith which I think is as dumb as all the other bestsellers of all time, ie the Torah, the Qur'an, etc. Armenian society is/was pre-"all that religious brainwash" but it is not pre-chicken nor is it pre-egg, as it is part of humanity (we can have egg on our faces or feel chicken (McFly) but these are not being egg nor chicken).
To explain better:
If you follow somebody elses divine confidence too carefully you lose your worth just like a person who buys a poor cosmetic product with clever advertising (because you are). So a god faring christian would ask what came first, the turkey or the egg? And the answer would be the egg if you you were were born approximately between late december and early april otherwise it is the turkey. This is a perverse diversion from the actual quest in hand of chicken and egg so it is important to exclude Turkey from the equation (if its will is to exclude others from their birthrights) as this will create less worthy eggs.
Exclusion shouldn't be death but education away from religious doctrines instead as then we will have the capacity to know and remember what came first and still be able to eat it, love it, have some more and not feel bad.
Then we can return to the question of chicken or egg? At the moment we are trapped in Einstein's world of relativity so by relating to our own procreation I would like to think that when I was born I was inserted into my body at the point of fertilisation - very worrying for abortists but no need to fear as to be human is to be more than the physical body AND to have strong ethereal connections to others both physical and non-physical. My own ethereal qualities are timeless but my body is/was not hence the experiences, dreams and realities that I percieve in time whilst having a body. On a linear timescale my ethereal qualities existed(s)ing before the process of my birth conceived by my parents, perhaps I even helped get them together after my last life and before this one. I would like to think so therefore the chicken is the answer as long as its organic!

chicken came first.
Do you guys know, chicken was formed through evolution. They transformed from a pre-historic animal, one of the dinosaurs million of years back. they resembles pheonix and they could fly pretty high, at that time, they were the 3rd highest flying animals.
However as the world move on, dinosaurs die and new animals evolved. some from the microorganisms, and some changes from the still alive dinosaurs. That process probably took more then 10 years.
And some hundred years later, these phoenix resembling dinosaurs became chicken-look-alike. chicken evolved from these chicken-look-alike some years a lot later.
And then they started to lay their first chicken eggs.
So, in conclusion, chicken came way before eggs.

Ive heard it argued persuasively that the answer is egg. Evolutionary theory would say that something progessively closer to a chicken laid eggs. Then something very almost but not quite a chicken laid an egg and from this came a chicken.
