Arthur D is the most correct. They kept jacking up the basic series price to make the show and were trying to get them to "drop it" so they "the studio" that owns it, could start making Stargate movies. Stargate Atlantis is still cheap and so will stay on for now. THIS season is 1/2 over and will return in a few months to finish up the series. I wouldn't mind, but with Vala (Claudia Black) and Ben (Ben Browder) added to the mix, I would love to see more shows with them in it. I own the first 8 seasons, but its just not the same :///

Actually According to Sci-Fi it will be continued in April.
(although this will be the last season, but heck it's been 10 years on the air, not bad at all)
