I can't find a site on the Web that would list this information. Maybe there's one that says for certain people, national and local to certain areas? Thanks.

You should google that. When a President dies, Former or present, the flags stay at half staff for 30 days

go here:

http://www.ncozone.com/AR.htm

click on the link for AR 600-25 Salutes, Honors and Visits of Courtesy. This is a military regulation and therefore VERY boring but if you take the time to find the topic you want in the contents than it will be very helpful.

hope you find what you want.

additional info. if you use this AR then check on page 18 and it should tell you info for National Flag at Half Staff.

In the proclamation announcing President Ford's death on December 27th - the direction for how long to display the flag at half-staff are in the 5th paragraph of the announcement.

I don't know of a website, but it's 30 days for a sitting or former president and for a sitting vp.

This is the type of stuff that you may well find on the Boy Scouts website, if there is one.
